SnipSnap
========

SnipSnap is derived from the Flameshot screenshot tool:

  Project: https://github.com/flameshot-org/flameshot
  Baseline commit: bd2e6d3a0ee665470bd05f614f5087a36c076cfc
  (upstream master, 2026-07-11)

Almost everything here is upstream's work. The upstream authors and the
licences of every file are recorded in packaging/debian/copyright, which is
the authoritative list, and in the public source history of Flameshot.
Flameshot is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or
any later version; SnipSnap keeps that licence. The complete licence text is
in LICENSE.

The compositor-side capture path added by SnipSnap — the GNOME Shell bridge
extension, its packaging, the daemon's receiver, the capture trace and the
region editor — and every other SnipSnap-specific change are copyright 2026
Spencer Norton and distributed under the same GNU General Public License,
version 3 or any later version.

The SnipSnap aperture-and-crop application icon, in every raster, monochrome
and symbolic tray variant shipped here, is original
artwork created for this project (copyright 2026 NorviTech, GPL-3.0-or-later;
see data/img/app/LogoLicense.txt). The initial visual concept was generated
with OpenAI image generation and then redrawn as project-native SVG artwork.

The editor's tool icons under data/img/material/ are Google Material Design
Icons, copyright Google Inc., distributed under the Apache License, Version
2.0. The licence text is in data/img/material/LICENSE.txt.

The build fetches two libraries at configure time rather than vendoring them:
KDSingleApplication, copyright Klarälvdalens Datakonsult AB, under the MIT
(Expat) licence; and Qt-Color-Widgets, copyright Mattia Basaglia, under the
GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3 or any later version, with its
linking exception. Both are pinned to immutable revisions in CMakeLists.txt.

The names Flameshot, SnipSnap, GNOME, Qt, Ubuntu, Debian and satty belong to
their respective owners. Their mention does not imply endorsement.
